Accessories Worth having
A needle and a cord to carry the catch. It hangs from the float, not from you.

A stainless needle at one end is threaded through the gills and out of the mouth, the fish slides down the cord, and the loop at the other end clips to the float. The catch stays in the water, cool and out of the way, and away from your body.
Hanging fish from the weight belt, which beginners do, puts a bleeding fish against your leg for the rest of the session. On most of the Moroccan coast that is merely unpleasant and bad for the fish; on a few days a year it is an invitation.
What matters:
Some stringers use a sliding lock instead of a needle, which keeps the fish from sliding back up the cord. Useful with several small fish; slower with one big one.
One stringer per float. 1 to 1.5 m of cord; longer drags in the water and catches the float line.
Rinse the needle and the clip, and check the crimp where the cord meets the needle: it is where stringers fail, with the catch.
Gear bag
Long enough for the fins, tough enough for the rock, and it drains. The bag decides whether your gear lasts.
Anti-fog
A drop on the lens before the dive. Spit works, the bottle works better, and neither works until the new-mask film is burnt off.
Loading pad
A thick patch on the chest to brace the gun against when you load it. Your sternum will thank you by the tenth load.
